Expectations of Grünenthal

  • Requests for funding must be unsolicited
  • Requests must be from an organisation and will not be provided to individuals for their personal benefit
  • Requests must be unrelated to the prescribing, purchasing, registration or reimbursement of any Grünenthal product(s)
  • Requests must enhance patient care, or benefit the NHS and maintain patient care
  • Involvement of Grünenthal must be made clear e.g. if providing a service or ensuring declaration of sponsorship
  • All printed materials must not bear the name of any medicine or any information about medicines and must clearly identify Grünenthal as the sponsoring pharmaceutical company (the exception to this requirement is text books)
  • Requests must be substantiated by written documentation that includes a detailed description of the programme (including timing and budget) and other appropriate information required for relevant reporting or accounting requirements (e.g., tax ID)

  • Requests will be considered when the next Grants and Donations Committee meeting takes place. These meetings take place every 2-4 weeks.
  • Following the Grants and Donations Committee meeting, an ‘approval’ email will be sent to the applicant if the request has been successful. Conversely, a ‘denial’ email will be sent to the applicant if the request has been unsuccessful.
  • It is recommended that a grant submission is made at least 6 weeks in advance of a planned activity.
